9 Months In Pictures, and a Baby on the Way!

I have to apologize, since my last post was in February.  Somehow I let 9 months slip by without getting around to posting, and I'm only doing so now to procrastinate my homework!  It would be impossible to tell you all that's happened in our lives since then, but they say a picture is worth a thousand words.  Let me know if they're right!

Carnaval in Salvador - February 2011
Carnaval in Salvador was an incredibly unique experience.  There were hundreds of thousands of people packing the streets with loud music, alcohol, and some crime.  While we were there, we saw two women get stabbed, witnessed two groups of people doing coke off of a car trunk, had a camera stolen, and saw police take away a man who passed out right next to us.  All in all, however, it was a great time.  Sarah and I headed to the beach for a few days after for some relaxation.

Pirenopolis - April 2011
Pirenopolis is a small town about an hour out of Brasilia that Sarah and I visited with our friends Chris and Dana.

Adam's Birthday Barbecue - May 2011
For my birthday, we invited about 30 friends to barbecue, swim, play soccer and tennis.

Belo Horizonte & Ouro Preto - May 2011
Doane Choir happened to be touring Brazil in May, so Sarah and I took a trip to see them in the beautiful colonial town of Ouro Preto.

Macchu Picchu, Peru and the Salkantay Trail - June 2011
This has been our favorite trip we've taken in Brazil.  It involved a 4 day hike with altitudes up to 14,000 ft. and absolutely georgous scenery only to arrive at one of the most beautiful and interesting places on Earth: Macchu Picchu.  We also spent some time in the town of Cusco, then at a a beach up in the North of Peru.
